Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Publishing from the University of Sydney, and received her Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) in 2014 from the Australian Institute of Music. She held the second soprano scholarship position with touring church music choir, the Cathedral Singers from 2011 to 2013, and performed with them during their 2012 tour of England. She has also performed in historic locations across the UK including St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
Katie has performed regularly in concert series’ at St Andrews Cathedral and the Art Gallery of New South Wales and has performed roles with the Sicilian theatre company, La Bottega d’Arte Teatrale, playing La Malafemmena in their 2012 production of Il Ciarlitano Giufa, and Salina in La Giara in 2013. Katie's operatic roles include Polly Peachum (The Threepenny Opera, 2011), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte, 2015-2016), Maria Bertram (Mansfield Park, 2016), and Lisa (La Sonnambula, 2016). In 2017 Katie completed the Advanced Classical program at the New Zealand Singing School.
Katie founded Operantics in 2015 as a platform for young artists, and since then has produced six operas accross five productions for the company; Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), The Telephone (Menotti), Gentleman's Island (Horovitz - Australian premiere), Mansfield Park (Dove - Australian premiere), La Sonnambula (Bellini), and Die Fledermaus (Strauss II).
