Jessica is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Music Performance (Voice) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, The University of Sydney, studying with Maree Ryan AM. During her degree, Jessica was awarded the Diane Wishart Scholarship (2014-2017) for academic and musical excellence.
At the Consevatorium, Jessica has participated in private masterclasses with Prof. Alan Bennett (USA), Giovanni Tarasconi (Italy), and Ruth Jones (Australia), as well as traveling to Windsor Castle, London, to work privately with Baroque specialist Miriam Allan. In 2012, Jessica was selected by The Continuo Arts Foundation, New York, to perform solo at a Papal Mass in the Vatican, as well as in Rome, Assisi, and Prague, where she premiered Stephen Edward’s Missa Brevis alongside the Australian Waratah Girls’ Choir, with which she was a member for eleven years. She has performed with Newcastle-based company Opera Hunter, in their productions of Carmen and Fiddler on the Roof, as well as Young People’s Theatre, enjoying pantomime roles such as Wendy in Peter Pan.
Sydney highlights include lead soprano for St Mary’s Cathedral’s 'Red Mass,’ and countless other performances of art song, lieder, and operatic repertoire. Jessica sincerely looks forward to her first operatic role in Sydney, and bringing Ida to life.
