Dave has performed extensively in musical theatre productions in Canberra. He has performed lead roles in Hair, Titanic, The Wizard of Oz, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, A Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Spamalot. His performances have received critical acclaim, including a Canberra Critics Circle award, for his performance of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and several nominations for Canberra Area Theatre (CAT) awards over a number of categories.
Dave has been studying the Italian ‘bel-canto’ singing method with his teacher for the past 9 years with much success, enabling him to sing such operatic roles as Nemorino in Donizetti's L’elisir d’amore, and as Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with Canberra Opera Incorporated, and Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte with new Sydney company Operantics.
